WordCamp Minneapolis 2014

WordCamp Minneapolis 2014

Of all the news I meant to blog about,

none can be more motivating than my having a chance to volunteer this year for WordCamp Minneapolis 2014! I received an email from one of the other event organizers (luckily not two days ago), that my name came up as someone who might be willing to shoot photos for the event. Having been to WordCamp Minneapolis 2013 last year, and knowing folks there as a result of other activities like the WordPress or SEO Meet-ups, I can see where someone thought to ask (I will post a link later on).

I was slinging a camera at the Overnight Website Challenge put on by The Nerdery, last year as well, just for kicks, and as a way to get really engaged watching multiple teams produce websites for non-profits. I thought if needed I could help. No need arose, but I still got some great shots that day. Lets say I brushed up on my event photography.

Looking at the site for WordCamp, I saw these great badges and thought yeah, I should spread the word some more. If you have an interest in working with WordPress like I do (this website is built on WordPress), you should come. You will learn tons, and it’s a BLAST!
